The pollen count must be very high today – even I am suffering, and it normally doesn’t worry me too much. Sneezing, itchy and watery eyes, general malaise. Ick. What we need is a rain shower to clear the air.

damn. bugger. blast. drat.
For a whole number of reasons, including (and of less importance than some other reasons) because I just sent a text message to my mum instead of Sarah, which I’ll be quizzed about tomorrow. Bugger.
Ok. Time for some food
Ok. Time for some food links. I recommend Say Cheese, a specialist cheese shop based in East Sussex run by David and Eleanor Robins. David is an international cheese judge, and what he doesn’t know about cheese isn’t worth knowing.
One of the cheeses that David and Eleanor stock is Tornegus, an absolutely superb wine-washed semi-soft white cheese with a distinctive smooth taste and texture. It’s heaven on a cracker. What I didn’t know is that it’s maker, James Aldridge, died earlier this year. I hope that his creation will continue to be made – surely no better epitaph could exist.

I’m contemplating a short break. Suggestions for a destination? Currently being considered: Amsterdam, Berlin, Bilbao, Paris, Porto, Venice.

Followed by a very pleasant time in the company of Chris, the gorgeous Becks, Al, Arron, DJ, Kim, Andy and Nathan.

Beer tonight with Paul F and Gary, with very brief sightings of Kristian, Matt, Hamish and Clive.

Garden Event a roaring success – my best ever. Which is nice, as finances will improve as a result. Reputation enhanced also.
Off for a beer to wind down now. Missing something though.
