I am considering what action is appropriate.<\/p>\n<p>UPDATE: email has been flying back and forth between the six of us concerned. For those who have only just arrived, here&#8217;s the deal:<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.notsosoft.com\/blog\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"Meg\">Meg<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.brainsluice.com\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"Dave\">Dave<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cuckoo-kid.com\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"Paul\">Paul<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nickjordan.co.uk\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"Nick\">Nick<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.infinitemonkeys.co.uk\/gasgiant\/\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"James\">James<\/a> all submitted their photos to my <a href=\"http:\/\/www.grayblog.co.uk\/passports.html\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"don't look too long - you'll turn to a pillar of stone\">passport photo page<\/a>.<br \/>\nThe Richmond Informer lifted the photos and used them in their advert.<br \/>\nAt no time did they approach me, or any of the other people pictured (which would have been easy considering that there is an email link to me on the passport page, and each photo carries a link to the person&#8217;s website).<\/p>\n<p>Both Meg and I have phoned them, and pointed out what is going on. Meg has a transcript of her conversation <a href=\"http:\/\/www.notsosoft.com\/blog\/2002_04_01_x.shtml#75200411\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"irate response\">here<\/a>. When I called, I got a more measured reaction, but still insisting on a written complaint (presumably to give them breathing space to decide on a response).<br \/>\nSo we six are considering our next step. We are aggrieved, for sure, and will be seeking some form of recompense. It&#8217;s a good job that <a href=\"http:\/\/www.infinitemonkeys.co.uk\/gasgiant\/000021.html#000021\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"how James broke the news\">James<\/a>&#8216;s friend&#8217;s girlfriend spotted it.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>hmm.
