When some weblogs are collaborative and international (remember <a href=\"http:\/\/www.lightningfield.com\/eurotrash\/\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"Eurotrash, to which I contributed, and which is now being archived permanently by the European Commission as a cultural history document. How cool is that?\">Eurotrash<\/a>?) and some other blogs are written by expats (we have had so called GBlogs that have <a href=\"http:\/\/www.captainfez.com\/blog\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"Luke, now back in Australia\">Aussie<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.dutchbint.org\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"Marcia, in London but with clogs and Edam\">Dutch<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.brainsluice.com\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"Dave, now working his way back to NZ by a very tortuous route\">Kiwi<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/lifeasithappens.blogspot.com\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"Rodney, in London with a German girlfriend\">Irish<\/a> authors, for example), is categorising a blog by the location of its author any use? Even for British blogs written by British passport-holders, the content is often not location-specific, and in fact the location of the author is irrelevant.<br \/>\nSo why blogchalk?<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Is blogchalking useful?
