a week in Derbyshire in summary:
\n– it was actually Staffordshire
\n– it snowed
\n– there was a power failure on New Year’s Eve – for 20 hours.
\n– we drank a lot – I mean gallons!
\n– we ate even more
\n– there was a blizzard
\n– there was walking
\n– silly games were played (Jenga by candlelight should be an Olympic sport)
\n– surprisingly few arguments took place
\nall in all, a good time was had. there is talk of planning another group holiday, although my finances, liver and waistline would all really appreciate it if that wasn’t for some considerable time.
