{"id":3284,"date":"2002-11-21T10:53:15","date_gmt":"2002-11-21T09:53:15","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.grayblog.co.uk\/?p=3284"},"modified":"2002-11-21T10:53:15","modified_gmt":"2002-11-21T09:53:15","slug":"much-fuss-in-the-media","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/grayblog.co.uk\/index.php\/2002\/11\/21\/much-fuss-in-the-media\/","title":{"rendered":"Much fuss in the media"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Much fuss in the media this morning about last night&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ananova.com\/news\/story\/sm_713298.html\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"Ananova, by way of a change\">public post mortem<\/a>, the first to be held in this country for 170 years.<br \/>\nI don&#8217;t really have an opinion on it, but I do wonder if the fuss is being driven not so much by the autopsy itself as by the fact that Professor Gunther von Hagens is such a showman &#8211; and possibly even your archetypal mad German scientist, a character type that has attracted the public interest right back to the time of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.lugosi.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"Bela Lugosi's dead!\">Bela Lugosi<\/a>, and <a href=\"http:\/\/us.imdb.com\/Name?Karloff,%20Boris\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"It's alive! It's alive!\">Boris Karloff<\/a> in the 1920s and 30s. Not forgetting Peter Lorre:<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.grayblog.co.uk\/images\/hair_raising_hare.jpg\" alt=\"Evil Scientist......
