    PITP2
This seems as good a time as any to announce…

Picnic in the Park II: The Return.

After the beer-and-frisbee induced shenanigans of PITP I, July 2002 sees the return of the outdoor massing of personal publishers (the gathering formerly known as “blogmeet”) to Hyde Park, London.

    The Date:
    Saturday 6 July 2002

    The Time:
    High Noon.

    The Place:
Speaker’s corner (just behind Marble Arch, at the entrance to Hyde Park)

    The Plan:
Bring edibles and drinkables, partners, offspring and/or pets (yours – kidnapping will be frowned on). Munch. Say “Blimey, I haven’t seen you since…” and “I never realised he/she looked like *that*…”. Polish off grub, menace small children (MM, GS) take some silly pictures (NJ) and then retire to a local hostelry for further chatter, or head off to Luke‘s leaving do later in the afternoon (therefore effectively dispatching two winged pests with one hard but well-aimed projectile).

    Spread the word.

    I plan to be there.

New header. The photo was taken in Chichester. A small prize to the first person to email me and correctly tell me where.

What does anyone else think of meetup.com?

An unplugged set tonight by Paul F, Paul the other one, Ted and Nick, in the company of Bren, Greg and Arron. Feel slightly more relaxed, but need to sleep.

  • Blogger should be working now

Blogger should be working now – they sent me a mail to say they have fixed the problem and it should no longer be pants. Cool.

  • Right … off to work.

Right … off to work. The fact that I don’t have to think about my marketing course is finally beginning to hit home – and it’s a good feeling.

My horoscope tells me that I will be glad that I’ve put a bit of cash on one side for a rainy day.
Hmmm. Might have a bit of a problem with that.

Strange dream last night. Seemed to be set in some sort of fame school. Had an all-star cast too: Robyn seemed to play the female lead, but it also featured Kearn, Sarah, Marianne, Dave and Nick. Couldn’t really follow the plot, and I’m not sure what my role was (I seemed to just get in the way a lot). I vaguely recall a few scenes that appeared to be on the Orient Express and another in Covent Garden. Very strange.

Beer tonight with Alison C, Helen, Steve, Kev, Andrea, Kearn, Dave, Gary, Theresa, Mandie and Jackie – good laugh with these last two in W2.

Blogger still isn’t working. I can post, but publish does nothing. I feel like I’m talking to myself.
