  • And as a quick aside,

And as a quick aside, my itsagoal team finally broke their away losing run. Need a small miracle if I’m to avoid being stuck in division 12 for another season though.

  • Good luck to anyone who,

Good luck to anyone who, like me, is sitting CIM Post Graduate Diploma exams today and tomorrow. May your favourite topics be the subject of questions.

  • In my TV-free existence, I’ve

In my TV-free existence, I’ve only kept up-to-date with Big Brother through BigBro3. I’m not really that moved by it all, and it certainly does seem to be even more boring than the previous two series. But am I the only one who thinks that Sandy, who today left the compound by clambering onto the roof, was by far the coolest person there? Maybe it’s because he seemed to have acted in much the same way that I think I would(apart from climbing onto the roof – I’m crap at climbing).
Oh, and my bet would be that Sophie wins.

  • What a hard day’s work

What a hard day’s work I’ve just completed. And moreover, what a lot of revision I really should get on with now. Guh.
And lo! I leave you lot alone for a few hours, and it’s suddenly commentastic here! Well, commentastic by Grayblog standards.

  • Amazing. Surely it is the

Amazing. Surely it is the politicians that have brought politics into disrepute with their spin culture, deceit, half-truths and underhand dealings?

  • Gah! England have got through

Gah! England have got through to the next stage of the World Cup. This is bad news for me, as my biggest event of the year (The Garden Event at West Dean – be there!) is on 22-23 June, the same weekend as the quarter final matches – and the last thing I want is for England to still be in it, as that’ll seriously dent the number of people that attend, and, therefore, the amount of money that I will make from it. So, come on Denmark!

  • Just walked through the city

Just walked through the city and was treated to the spectacle of one of the Peregrine Falcons from the nest on the cathedral spire flying up and down West Street and over the cathedral green, calling loudly. I’ve heard talk that a second female has shown up and is causing some trouble with the established pair – pah! women!

  • I’m not a football enthusiast

I’m not a football enthusiast (other than following Brighton), as regular readers will know (and I’m becoming even less enthusiastic about itsagoal.com since my team lost their last eight away matches). But I have noted that Ireland have a distinct advantage over Saudi Arabia in today’s World Cup match: their names. If you wanted to catch the attention of a player in your team on a football field, wouldn’t you prefer to shout Duff, Kelly or Breen instead of “Oi! Khamis al-Owairan Al Dossary!”
And I’m not going to comment on the Denmark-France result for fear of upsetting one of my regular readers.
