I was party to a conversation recently in which Darren stated that he actually worries if Nick doesn’t post something by 9am each day. It’s easy to understand why.

I can’t decide if this
I can’t decide if this is useful, interesting or useless. It certainly shows that Cal is both extremely clever and time-rich.

Lunch in the Slug and Lettuce with Sarah. Nice food, but have you looked at their drinks prices? £2.65 for a bottle of Bud – we’ll soon have parity on pub prices with London.

Late beer tonight with Paul
Late beer tonight with Paul F, Lord Percy and Lady Bren. I’m tired. And smelly by all accounts.

Best idea I’ve had today
Best idea I’ve had today – nipping into the Nags on the way home for a beer in the company of Clive, Matt and Hamish. I’m utterly exhausted after an awful day in the rain at Stansted. If you thought Friday and Saturday were bad, it had nothing on today, one of the wettest and most miserable days I’ve ever spent at a plant fair. I felt really sorry for Jane and Lizzie, the organisers of the event. Jane and I help each other out with our events as much as we can (and it is probably fair to say that I gain more from that than Jane does), and we empathise with each other’s problems. I felt sorry for them today – the weather spoilt what should have been a brilliant event, but to give credit, the attendance was brilliant in spite of the weather.
