  • Gah. More CD spendage needed

Gah. More CD spendage needed on latest Plaid output, methinks. (I would do links for all this stuff, and the films I mentioned the other day, but I’m too tired, and too chilled. Go find it yourself (try Warp Records for Plaid)).

  • You simply can not imagine

You simply can not imagine how this family must feel. Utterly dreadful.

  • Nina Nastazia (sp?) session on

Nina Nastazia (sp?) session on John Peel tonight was excellent. Might try to track some of her work down.

Ouch. That is a seriously bad situation. Glad I don’t have any shares in AOLTW – and that I don’t rely on them for employment.

  • A very hectic day at

A very hectic day at work today (hence no updates) followed by a very relaxing meal at Chez Graybo with Sarah – salmon steaks with rustic tomato sauce, and very good, even if I say so myself. And top company too, talking about friends, people, relationships, wine, food, books, music, planets and minor cuts and bruises.

  • At last, I got to

At last, I got to see the unusual formation of planets in the western sky tonight. By the time I looked, Mercury had already set, but Mars, Venus, Jupiter and Saturn were all clearly visible, aligned in a more or less straight line. Fantastic.

Beer tonight with Paul F, Aris and Arron.

  • Mo has decided to stop

Mo has decided to stop updating his site, which is a shame. But if he no longer enjoys it, then it is the right thing to do. After all, it is *his* and not his readers’.

  • Today is St George’s Day.

Today is St George’s Day. You knew that, didn’t you? You mean you are English, and didn’t know when the English patron saint’s day was?
It’s a shame that we don’t have pageants and parades for our patron saint’s day as they do in other countries. We don’t even get rip-roaringly-rat-arsed like some Irish people do for St Patrick’s Day. I’m not sure why though – perhaps it is because it isn’t seen as de rigeur to celebrate Englishness these days, although somehow I suspect it has more to do with apathy and laziness on the part of the English people.
Still, I’ll be going to the pub tonight after college, and I’ll be sure to have a swift pint to celebrate St George.
