We kept the ball up front more which is important. Steve Claridge was key to that. He is is one of the fittest players I’ve worked with and I have no doubt that after 18 months away from this level he would be able to perform.
Hmm. It seems I may have to eat my words.

My first game of the season as well! You can find my match report in the middle section of this rambling post. I think based on that performance Brighton should be organised enough to stay up, but teams with better strikers will punish you more than we did, I’m afraid.
We passed the Seagulls’ team bus on the A26. Those of a superstitious nature may feel that I should now hang around on the highways and byways to give the bus a "lucky touch" as it travels to away games.
