This afternoon, one of the ugliest women I have ever had the displeasure of seeing said that I was a “very handsome man”. On the one hand, this is naturally flattering. On the other, it is quite horrifying. I don’t mean to be unkind when I say that she was ugly, merely truthful. Even my mother (who was standing nearby) was quite mortified. To be honest, I couldn’t get out of that room fast enough.
