As you probably know, the Queen Mother’s coffin is Lying in State (a term which seems to have acquired capital letters lately) in Westminster Hall. This morning, on the radio news, I heard interviews with people who were complaining that the Hall had been closed at 5am, when they had been queuing for four hours.
Get a grip! For goodness sake, who goes to see something like this at 1am?? It isn’t a bloody 24-hour supermarket!! It’s all just media-induced hype, if you ask me.
Noticed yesterday: McDonalds flags at half mast over their Brighton restaurant. I’m sure that QE the QM would have been touched by that.
