I’ve been using FileZilla, an FTP client, and I have to say that I’m very very impressed indeed. Previously, I’ve always used WS_FTP, albeit a very ancient version, and found it to be rugged and reliable. But now that I’m on a PC running Win XP Pro, I thought I should make the effort to upgrade to something more modern (and preferably freeware/shareware). FileZilla is excellent – it has a lovely intuitive interface and seems very easy to use, with all the basic FTP features that I need, plus a whole bunch that I might never use. And it has that other great quality of being a small program.
I know that I don’t normally write about software here, but this is good, so I felt moved to recommend it to you.
